Training for Ministry

We are keen to encourage one another to live according to God’s word, to grow as followers of Jesus and to use our God-given gifts to serve him in whatever way we can. With this in mind, we provide training for church members in Christian ministry through our small group Bible studies, weekends away and other programmes.

The St Helen’s Associate Scheme

Our greatest desire as a church is that God is honoured and the church of Jesus Christ is built and extended. For this to happen godly leaders are key – leaders who will serve God and His people, either full-time or in a lay capacity. The purpose of the Associate Scheme is to help to develop the next generation of servant-leaders. Click here for more information.

Church Music Apprentice Programme

Our Church Music Apprentice programme aims to serve the wider church by training godly musicians in handling Scripture and leading congregational music in different styles.  Apprentices attend the Cornhill Training Scheme and receive hands-on training from our Director of Music.

September 2010

There are spaces for three or four apprentices to join us for one or two years from September 2010.  We are especially looking for musicians with guitar and keyboard skills, but will consider any instrumentalist or vocalist.
