We are a church located in the heart of London and are all about knowing Jesus and making him known. Whether you want to join St Helen's or are just looking in, we look forward to welcoming you. We have a number of meetings and events, both on Sunday and during the week. Watch this short welcome video from William, our rector.
We have welcome groups for our meetings and events taking place across the week. We'd love to meet you—please fill out this short form and someone will be in touch.
We are all about knowing Jesus and making him known. Our aim as a church family is to bring glory to God in everything that we do and in all that we are. We want to know Jesus Christ and we long to make him known in London and around the world. In particular, we aim to:
Reach out: to tell as many people as possible the glorious news of Jesus Christ.
Build up: to help each other grow in our relationship with God, in order that we might serve him wholeheartedly in the world.
Send out: to equip every Christian to serve Jesus faithfully for a lifetime. We train men and women to teach God’s word to a needy world and plant new churches in London and beyond.
Every week we gather together on Sunday to hear God speak through the Bible, talk to him in prayer, sing his praises and help one another to follow Jesus. We have four different meetings and we would love to help you find the one that is right for you. We also have a lot going on during the week, including lunchtime talks, Bible studies, prayer and much more.
There is a great need to make Jesus known across offices in London. We have lunchtime talks, morning Bible studies and prayer groups at different times to fit in with your working day.
Being a student at St Helen's means you are part of the student community within our church family, with many opportunities to build genuine and Christ-centred friendships. Students meet on Sunday evenings at 6pm and on Wednesday evenings during term time for small group Bible studies. There are lots of other ways to get involved and we would love you to join us. If you would like to, we can also introduce you to an older member of the church family to look at the Bible and pray together.
Whether you are here for university or work, you are welcome to join us on Sunday or midweek for our small group Bible study evenings. For Mandarin speakers, we have a Mandarin speaking Sunday meeting at 2pm and Bible study groups.
We also have Bible study groups and other events for people who speak French, Spanish, German, Japanese and some other languages.
We want to see our children and young people grow to know God better, so that they will stand for him throughout their life. We love children and the sense of fun and energy that they bring to our church family. We long for each child at St Helen's to hear Jesus’ voice and develop a faith that lasts a lifetime. So we teach the Bible as faithfully, imaginatively, and engagingly as we can, depending on God to do his work through his word.
To ensure we offer the best possible care for the children, we have adopted the House of Bishops' 'Promoting a Safer Church' safeguarding policy statement. All our volunteers have been through the relevant screening procedures.
Children’s groups and crèches are provided at the 10.30am, 2pm and 4pm Sunday meetings. Children start in the main church meeting with all the adults, then after 10 minutes they leave for their groups. Email our children's worker for more information.
Bridge meets during the Sunday 10.30am meeting. Groups also meet every Friday during term time in St Peter’s Church from 7–9pm. The evening includes a short talk from the Bible, games and the opportunity to ask questions about Christianity. There are occasional socials on Fridays throughout the term. Email Will for more information.
Junction meets after the Sunday 4pm meeting. Afterwards we go to St Peter’s Church from 5.15–7.15pm. Our time together includes a Bible talk, games and spending time with friends. Youth RML also meets on Wednesday evenings during term times in St Peter’s Church from 6–7.15pm, followed by dinner from 7.15–8pm. Email Will for more information.
