Youth at St Helen's

There’s lots going on at St Helen’s for teenagers and young people. Whether or not you’d call yourself a Christian we’d love to meet you.

We really enjoy having a range of young people with us across our youth groups, and we would love teenagers to visit us at St Helen’s and to get involved. Whether just exploring the Christian faith, or wanting to grow as a Christian, you are welcome! It’s a great chance to meet others at a similar stage of life and to discuss the Bible together.

The 'Brunction' youth weekend away

Each year in February the two age groups combine for an 11-18s youth weekend away extravaganza! We head off for a weekend of games, activities, Bible talks and discussion groups. It’s a great chance to have more time to get to know each other whilst having a lot of fun, great food, and time in the Bible together.

Guest events

Friends are always welcome at any of our youth groups throughout the year, and we regularly have guests joining us. However we also run some special guest events each term (eg at Christmas and Easter) which provide a particular opportunity for friends to be invited along for food, fun and a chance to consider the Christian faith.

Christian groups at school

Many of the young people at
St Helen’s are involved in groups at their schools which provide a chance to explore the Christian faith further and to encourage each other. Some have also recently started up new groups in their schools. Please do get in touch if you are interested in finding out more, we may be able to provide information about what is happening near you.

Post-exam getaways

For those in year 11 and year 13, we offer short getaways in June–a great way to celebrate the end of exams! A few days out of London in smaller groups, enjoying the countryside, relaxing, having fun, and doing some Bible studies together.

Summer camps

Each summer the majority of the young people in our youth groups head off to various different summer camps for a week of activities, fun, Bible talks and studies. Please do get in touch if you would like more information about some of the different camps that are available.

Supporting parents

There can be much to enjoy about parenting teenagers, but it can also feel challenging and worrying at times. Whilst the focus of our youth groups is on young people, we seek to support parents and families as much as we can where that is needed and wanted. We also run occasional formal and informal events for parents. Talks from a recent parenting morning can be found below.
