God gives new life, strengthens, and disciples his people through his word, both adults and children. We would love to share with you our set of Bible teaching resources for children ages 3-5 and 5-11 and their Sunday school teachers. Matching Bible time booklets which the children can take home, help parents know what's being taught and open up the Bible with their children. This material has been useful for us in our ministry and is now made freely available.
Three things make up a kingdom. Can you guess what they are? A king, a people, and a place. Ever since the creation of the world, God has been working towards his kingdom. A place where his people live under his rule. Adam and Eve rebelled against God's rule. But, in the promised land, God’s kingdom plan unfolds. God promised King David that one of his sons would rule a wonderful and safe kingdom, the throne of which would be established forever.

Psalm just means ‘song’. So, the book of psalms is a book of songs. It could be described as a playlist; a playlist of 150 songs which God has given us. Psalm 1 encourages us to listen and meditate on God’s playlist. Psalm 2 tells us what God’s playlist is about. It is about his king, whom he will raise up to smash human rebellion and give refuge to those who surrender to him.

Luke writes his gospel for a man named Theophilus, to give him certainty that what was anticipated in the Old Testament has indeed been accomplished by Jesus of Nazareth. Like Theophilus, we too can have certainty that Jesus of Nazareth is God’s saving king, who saves repentant sinners through his death, and who will gather a people for his kingdom through the preaching of the gospel.

The book of Acts is about all that Jesus continued to do and teach as the risen and ascended King. He is accomplishing what was promised, and is building the kingdom by gathering a people to himself, through his Holy Spirit and the witness of his apostles, to the ends of the earth.

Who would you call in an emergency? The Israelites found themselves in an emergency. Far from the promised land, they were oppressed under the rule of Pharaoh, in a land of death. Who would come to their rescue? Let's find out...

Mark’s gospel is all about Jesus. Mark will show us who Jesus is and what Jesus has done for his people. Jesus is God’s son, the promised King. He saves people from death, cleanses hearts, and opens blind eyes. He judges the old, established religious order and establishes his own kingdom. In his death on the cross he dealt with our sin and our failings, by taking on himself the punishment that we deserve, and was crowned as King.

The book of Joshua isn’t just a fun bedtime storybook. Neither is it a purely historical account of the people of Israel. The book of Joshua will show us whether God is a promise keeper and whether he'll keep his good promises to us.
