Jesus promised that his work of gathering his people is built on 'solid rock'; so that no power will ever prevail against it or dislodge it. In the course of history, many have made similar claims. So what makes Jesus' claim any different? The answer lies in his teaching concerning his death and resurrection. Jesus alone has dealt with the problem of the human heart: our sin.
