To pray is to ask

In this series of studies, Dick Lucas explores and encourages the practice of intercessory prayer. The first study is in four parts and considers the model of prayer laid down by Jesus in Luke 11 and the two parables that follow it. Although many different kinds of prayer have been proposed, the main thrust of biblical prayer is unashamedly intercessory. It arises from the relationship between a child of God and a good heavenly Father, the dependent child asking for things that the Father alone can give.
