Jesus highly values each and every individual who seeks after him. So great is their value to him that causing them to be put off is a huge offence. Jesus warns those who dissuade others of the dangerous consequences of their actions. He also calls his disciples to watch themselves to not cause others to stumble. One of the ways we most likely stumble others is to fail to forgive. If we find that teaching difficult—it's due to a lack of faith.
