Sacrifice and need

We always love to present the best side of ourselves. However, when things go wrong we often fall back to the excuse that “it isn’t who I really am”. In the gospels, the apostle Peter and all of Jesus’ followers are truthfully presented as morally and spiritually flawed. It is deeply refreshing to see. If we are realistic about our true selves, then we will be able to find the real help that we need.
