Luke 2:39-52

The work—as he saw it

A search for Jesus in Jerusalem results in a climactic announcement in the temple. Jesus must be in his Father’s house. Luke wants us to have certainty that even as a 12 year old boy Jesus knows he is the Son of God and is committed to his Father’s saving work. In a world full of options and distractions, where will we find the saving work of God? Focused exclusively in the person of his Son, Jesus Christ.
