Proverbs 31:1-31

The wise king and his wife

What kind of King were God's people waiting for? A king in the line of David who rules with justice and wisdom. Proverbs concludes by pointing us to a future king, who will rule with the wisdom of Israel's greatest king, Solomon, but will avoid all of his errors. We see that Proverbs is ultimately a book about the Lord Jesus, the just and wise king we all need.
