In Ezekiel 34—37, the LORD offers hope in the face of national death. So far, he said he would rescue his people by coming himself as their shepherd. But where are they going to live? Their land has been decimated and is surrounded by dangerous enemies. In Ezekiel 35 and 36, God promises to deal with all their foes and to provide a home for them that will last forever. And the Lord Jesus brings these promises about for us.
