Simplicity and godly sincerity

One of the most striking aspects of this opening section is its God-centredness. He is the father of mercies(v3), the God of all comfort (v3), the God who raises the dead (v9), who delivers his people (v10), who gives grace (v12), who is faithful (v18), who fulfils his promises (v20), who establishes us (v21) and gives his Holy Spirit (v22).
