The king’s astonishing teaching

Jesus’ ability to deal with every question put to him leaves his listeners astonished. Perhaps more remarkable is his turning the tables on those who wish to trip him up. Not only does he expose their failure to grasp his true identity, he also shows their guilt in refusing the give to God his due and their impending judgement at his hands.
