Gospel truth works out

Why would the apostle Paul record the details of the time he opposed the apostle Peter in public, and write about it to the Galatian church? As we see the passion of Paul’s defence of the truth of the gospel, we have even more confidence that Jesus' work alone is sufficient for us to be right with God.
